Power BI Monitoring for Qlik Cloud

Qlik Cloud reload tasks are the refresh mechanism that keeps your Qlik Sense apps current. When a reload task fails or runs slower than expected, apps serve stale data and business decisions lag behind reality. MetricSign monitors Qlik Cloud reload tasks via the Qlik Cloud REST API using OAuth2 client credentials — the same auth pattern used by ADF and other enterprise connectors. Two incident types cover the primary failure modes: reload_failed (a reload task returned a failed state) and reload_slow (a reload exceeded its historical duration baseline). Teams running Qlik Cloud alongside Power BI, Tableau Cloud, or ADF get a single cross-platform incident feed where a slow upstream pipeline and a failed downstream reload appear in the same view, connected by lineage.

What you can monitor

  • Detect when a Qlik Cloud reload task fails and see which apps are serving stale data
  • Alert when a reload runs significantly slower than its historical baseline before users notice
  • Monitor Qlik Cloud alongside Power BI and Tableau Cloud in a single cross-BI incident feed
  • Trace reload failures back to upstream ADF or Airflow pipeline failures via cross-stack lineage

How MetricSign helps

01reload_failed incidents with task and app context
02reload_slow detection using historical duration baselines
03OAuth2 client credentials authentication — same pattern as enterprise ADF connector
04Cross-stack lineage connecting Qlik Cloud reload failures to upstream pipeline incidents
