The rules of the road for using MetricSign.
By accessing or using MetricSign, you agree to these terms. If you are using MetricSign on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these terms.
MetricSign is a monitoring platform for Microsoft Power BI environments and connected data pipelines. It connects to your environment via a read-only service principal and surfaces refresh failures, anomalies, schema changes, and pipeline errors.
MetricSign is provided as a software-as-a-service (SaaS). We reserve the right to update, modify, or discontinue features at any time. Significant changes that affect core functionality will be communicated in advance.
One account per organisation
A MetricSign account represents a single organisation or team. Accounts may not be shared across unrelated organisations.
Credentials are your responsibility
You are responsible for the security of your login credentials and the Azure service principal you provide to MetricSign. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
Access requires invitation
During the current phase, access to MetricSign is by invitation only. Admins may invite colleagues within their own organisation.
MetricSign may only be used for lawful monitoring of environments you own or are authorised to monitor. You may not:
Monitor environments you do not have permission to access
Only connect service principals for environments that your organisation owns or has been explicitly authorised to monitor.
Attempt to reverse engineer or circumvent security controls
Do not attempt to access other tenants' data, reverse engineer the platform, or bypass authentication and rate limiting.
Abuse the AI assistant
The AI assistant (where enabled) is intended to support incident investigation. Use that is intended to generate harmful content, circumvent AI safety controls, or extract data outside its intended scope is prohibited.
Resell or sublicense access
You may not resell, sublicense, or provide MetricSign as a white-label service to third parties without a separate written agreement.
MetricSign accesses metadata from your Power BI environment — refresh status, pipeline run results, schema information, and error codes. It does not access, transmit, or store the actual data in your tables or reports.
For a full description of what data MetricSign collects, how it is stored, and how long it is retained, see our Privacy & Data page.
If your organisation requires a Data Processing Agreement (DPA), please contact us. We provide a standard SaaS DPA on request.
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Scheduled maintenance, infrastructure issues, or dependency failures (including the Power BI API) may cause temporary unavailability.
During the beta phase, MetricSign is provided without a formal SLA. Production SLA commitments will be defined at general availability.
MetricSign and all related software, designs, and documentation are the intellectual property of WNK Data Consultancy. Nothing in these terms grants you ownership of any part of the MetricSign platform.
Your data remains your data. We claim no ownership over the metadata or information your organisation connects to MetricSign.
MetricSign is a monitoring tool — it surfaces information about your environment but does not control it. We are not liable for decisions made based on MetricSign's output, including incidents that went undetected, incorrect alerts, or actions taken in response to alerts.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MetricSign's total liability for any claim arising from these terms or use of the service is limited to the amount paid by your organisation in the three months preceding the claim.
You may stop using MetricSign at any time by revoking the service principal's permissions in your Azure environment. We will delete your organisation's data within 30 days of a written termination request.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify admins via the email address on their account. Continued use of MetricSign after the effective date of updated terms constitutes acceptance.
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes arising from these terms or use of the service will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
We are happy to discuss any aspect of these terms, provide a Data Processing Agreement, or answer questions specific to your organisation's compliance requirements.
